| Piper's Opera House around 1886, just a few years after being rebuilt. House #2 burned in 1883. Notice the trees and the balcony. The balcony is in the plans to be rebuilt. New lamps have been added to match the Victorian architecture on C Street in Virginia CIty. You can just see the sign outside of Piper's Corner Bar in the lower left of the photo. A collection of artifacts recently dug from the bar is on display at the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City. |
