The COMSTOCK CLOCK & CRYSTAL first opened its twelve foot steel doors to a thriving and bustling Virginia City in the mid 1800's as a clock shop. The steel doors at the rear of the store are believed to have opened onto the entrance of a secret mine. It was rebuilt in 1876 after the great fire which destroyed much of the entire community.
